Yesterday marked a remarkable and unforgettable day in the journey of our CEO, Prof Ramneek Ahluwalia as he had the immense honour of addressing the 15th International Forum of NGOs in Official Partnership with UNESCO in Paris, France. It was a privilege for him to speak before representatives from all Global United Nations Member States, civil servants, government leaders, NGOs, civil societies, and academics. His focus was on “Innovation for Change,” proudly showcasing our South African piece of work, Higher Health SA, as a model of global knowledge.
Our advocacy at Higher Health is centered on mental health, soft skills, and transforming mentalities – key pillars that are critical for the global community to focus on. These elements are essential in preserving skills development, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, and, importantly, ensuring job success.
We firmly believe that a prevention-focused approach can significantly alleviate economic challenges. Early intervention, particularly in early childhood development, is not only proven to prevent irreparable damages but also to bolster economic growth.
Prof Ahluwalia extends his heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Emmanuel Nkosinathi “Nathi” Mthethwa, representing the Republic of South Africa at UNESCO, for his unwavering support and commitment. His dedication greatly contributes to our collective mission and success.
