LGBTQI+ Community

HIGHER HEALTH focuses on sections of the student population that experience various forms of discrimination or disadvantage and factors that constitute a potential health risk – including young women and LGBTQI students.

Our Commitment

At Higher Health, we recognize the importance of addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQI+ students within the higher education environment. LGBTQI+ individuals often encounter discrimination, stigma, and violence, which can have profound impacts on their physical and mental well-being. As part of our commitment to promoting inclusivity and equity on campuses, we prioritize supporting LGBTQI+ students through various initiatives and resources.

Safe Affirming Spaces

Peer-led destigmatization activities play a crucial role in empowering vulnerable groups, including LGBTQI+ students, and fostering a more respectful and enabling campus environment. These activities aim to challenge stereotypes, combat discrimination, and promote acceptance and understanding among students and staff alike. By amplifying the voices and experiences of LGBTQI+ individuals, we strive to create safe and affirming spaces where all students can thrive.
