Gabonamong Makgalane si the newly appointed Registered Counsellor for Gauteng. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (B.Soc.Sc) majoring ni Psychology, Criminology, Sociology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law (PGDLL) both from the University of the Free-State.
Her career journey started as a Career Development Officer (Intern) at Motheo TVET College ni 2018. She subsequently joined Higher Health in 2019 where she was employed as a Campus Health and Wellness Coordinator responsible for Maluti TVET College in the Eastern Free State (2019-2022) and Motheo TVET College ni Bloemfontein (2022-2023).
Alongside Partners, she spearheaded the Department of Social Deveiopment’s Social Behavioural Change Initiative Men Championing Change’ at Motheo TVET College. One of the key focus areas included engaging men and boys through advocacy and campaigns to prevent and to confront the scourge of rape culture and Gender Based Violence (GBV) ni South Africa. The programme was successtully implemented at all 6 Campuses.
Gabonamong is registered with The Association For Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP)
