Sanelise Mpofu studied for a Bachelor of Psychology (BPSYCH) at Walter Sisulu University. She completed a 720-hour practicum at Mthatha General Hospital in the Psych Unit as a Student Registered Counsellor, where she gained experience in psychotherapy and counselling, psychoeducation, and family debriefing with both in-patients and out-patients. Sanelise has been trained in Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
In 2019, she enrolled in a Master of Arts in Research Psychology program at Walter Sisulu University but had to drop out due to personal reasons. She has interned as a Career Guidance Officer at Ikhala TVET College, worked as a Career Counsellor intern at the Department of Employment and Labour, and served as a Registered Counsellor at the Foundation of Professional Development (FPD) / TB HIVCARE.
