Vinolia is a Registered Counsellor with the HPCSA, having graduated from the University of Venda. Her passion for mental health began during her high school years when she observed the limited understanding and availability of mental health services in her community. Determined to make a difference, she pursued a career in Psychology to educate individuals from underdeveloped communities about mental health and its importance.
Vinolia started her professional journey as a Psychological Assessor, working under a Clinical Psychologist on RAF medico-legal cases. This role allowed her to acquire valuable skills and practical experience in psychometric assessments.
She then expanded her professional horizons by joining the Department of Employment and Labour as an Intern Career Counsellor. This opportunity ignited her skills in career counselling and coaching. Additionally, she has experience in facilitating both group and individual counselling sessions. Currently, she serves as a Counsellor for a NoU, where she provides counselling services in the higher education setting to culturally diverse students.
